Infant Care:
Infant care is provided for babies from 6 weeks to 12 months. Each classroom uses and implements the Wee Learn for Infants curriculum. Each classroom also follows the Safe Sleep Procedure recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Consumer Safety Commission for safe sleep environments to reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). Infants ages six weeks to 12 months are placed on their backs to sleep. If an alternative sleep position is needed, a written note from your child's physician must be provided.
Upon enrolling and bringing your infant to PCCC, you will also need to provide a Feeding Plan signed by the child's physician. As the feeding plan changes, you are responsible for making the necessary changes to the feeding plan. An Immunization Form, Physical Form, and Over the Counter Medication Form are also required on or before the first day of attendance. Updates to these forms must be turned in as well.
At PCCC, we offer four infant nurseries staffed with well qualified caregivers. Please take time to look at each of our Infant Rooms and Meet our Teachers! Our four infant rooms are the Chickadees, the Tiny Turtles, the Little Lambs, and the Bunnies. |
